Mrs. Angel
Celona, Sam Dan
Dan #31088
Angel started training in
1994, at the age of ten at Collingdale’s Community Center.
From there, she joined the Tang Soo Do Institute, headed by
Master DiMarco. In 1999, she transferred to Pal Che Tang
Soo Do under the instruction of Master Ron Raver. It is at
this school that Angel received her Black Belt.
Angel enjoys working on and teaching
stances. They are the foundation to the techniques we
strive to perfect. Her favorite form is Pyung Ahn Sah Dan
because of the rigid techniques that compliment the fluid motions
Tang Soo Do is known for.
Angel’s greatest influence is
her former instructor Master Raver. One summer when she
became involved in outside activities, he made special time to
meet with her so her training did not suffer. Master
Raver’s actions portrayed the dedication to passing on the
martial arts tradition, which Angel now tries to mimic. Her
current instructor, Mr. Centrone, is both a great mental and
physical teacher. When he is not teaching a technique, he
is teaching a lesson.
Outside of karate, Angel enjoys
outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and biking. She also
enjoys traveling and reading.
The black belt is not worn around your waist but rather
in your heart and mind; and as such, it must be worn and seen in
your every day actions, not just in the dojang.
