Mr. George
Celona, Sam Dan
Dan #30090
George started training in November of 1990 at Shin
Karate Institute in Philadelphia at the age of 11. He
trained there under Mr. Todd Morrison and Master Nate Gordon
until he reached the rank of Cho Dan Bo. After an injury
just before his black belt test, George stopped training for over
a year. When he returned to Tang Soo Do, it was at a new
school; Pal Che Tang Soo Do, which was much closer to his home in
Folcroft, PA. When George started at Pal Che under Master
Ron Raver, Master Raver made him start again as a white belt for
a probationary period, and then retest for his rank. After
succeeding there, George attained his Black Belt in 1998.
Soon after this, George's training slowed down once again as he
began college at Villanova University. In 2002, George
tested for the rank of E-dan. At this point in time, he
also reconstructed the school's demo team, which he became leader
of. Since then, Pal Che's White Tigers have been a
reckoning force in the Region 8 creativity competition.
Someday he would like to open his own school, and loves to teach
both children and adults. Outside of Tang Soo Do, he is a
physics teacher at Springfield High School, and enjoys music very
much.
