"Nick" D'Amato, Cho Dan

Nicholas D'Amato has been a student, training at Pal Che Tang Soo Do since November 1996. He first started in the small children's class under the instruction of Master Ronald Raver and various certified Black Belts {Dan}. Throughout the years, Nick has been dedicated and showed consistent effort, toward the martial art of Tang Soo Do. In September 1999, he was invited to gradually join training in the adult class. In 2002, he began training fully under Mr. Joseph Centrone, when he took over, as new owner and the chief instructor of Pal Che Tang Soo Do. In the Summer 2003, Nick joined the White Tigers Demonstration Team at Pal Che, and remained on the team for its entire three years, seeing it compete every year and win Third Place in the Creativity competition at the 2003 Region 8 Championship. Nick later became a leader on the Special Team of Role Models {STORM} panel for the Studio's {Dojang} demonstration team. His journey to Black Belt {Dan} was a long challenging struggle, yet he persevered and tested for his First Degree Black Belt {Cho Dan} on Saturday, 18th, September, 2004. Nick is certified as both an Instructor and a Corner Judge. He assists his Studio {Dojang} and Instructor {Sah Bum Nim} every week by teaching both the youth classes and adult classes, being ardent, enthusiastic, and very devoted. Nick has attended all Studio and Regional events since 2003, and he was a participant and volunteer at the recent 2006 World Championships. Nick continues to be a major part of the Pal Che Dojang, as he is one of the most experienced students, and he is always willing to lend a hand in any possible way that he can.
