Mr. Sundar
Swaminathan, E Dan
Dan #31087
Hey everybody, my name's Sundar and I'm an E Dan. I began training in '94 when I was six, so I've been training for about 12 years. I started karate because it looked like a lot of fun, and I had loved Bruce Lee movies and wanted to become like him. I also had a huge self-control and discipline problem in school, so my parents thought karate would be a good help. After I joined karate, I realized it wasn't about the kicking and yelling, like many people believe. Instead, it was about the discipline and the respect that you learned. 12 years later, I still hold the same lessons and realize it's the self-control and respect for others that are the most important parts. Outside karate, I love basketball, soccer, and basically any team game that involves a lot of running.
